Today we discussed wireframing in web II. Wireframing is the process in which we start to figure out site hierachy and navigation. It's very basic layout. We're not thinking about colors or visual elements yet. Wireframing is barebones layout. what pages link to what pages. How's the navigation going to be laid out, etc.

Today in class we talked about buckets and wireframeing. This is where we come up with any and all ideas for a site's content. Any widgets, inforamtion, contacts, links, content, etc, we write down in a list. No idea is too much or too out there, we'll eventually condense down to what really matters and what can be done away with. From there we put it in "buckets", not literally although that could be amusing. We figure out our catagories for navigation, like home, about, contact, or what have you and wite them on a dry earse board.
After that we take our ideas for content and go down the list figuring out what can be gotten rid of, and in which catagory the rest can go into. Now we have a rough idea of what we need to put in

In my webII class we're discussing questions and getting the information you need to build a site. These are some things to keep in mind when trying to figure out what a client is looking for when they decide to have a web presence or update their site.
Style
- Have client name 3 sites they like
- Do they have a usable logo?
- Are there certain colors they like or need to use?
- Does the site need to change with the seasons?
