In my webII class we're discussing questions and getting the information you need to build a site. These are some things to keep in mind when trying to figure out what a client is looking for when they decide to have a web presence or update their site.
- Style
- Have client name 3 sites they like
- Do they have a usable logo?
- Are there certain colors they like or need to use?
- Does the site need to change with the seasons?
- Content
- Pictures, do they have any, will they supply?
- What kind of info is required?
- Who will write the content for the site?
- What's the goal of the site?
- Tech
- How will content management be handled?
- Who's hosting the site?
- How will the site be built?
- Security, is there sensitive information?
- How can visitors contact the site owner, email, phone, etc?
- Other
- What's they client's knowledge of the internet? do they need extra explanation of things?
- What's the best way for the designer to keep in touch with the client?
- Timeline?
